Kris,
I just wanted to send my sympathies. I know it's hard, envisioning a world without your mom, but know that you will be lifted up in prayer. If there is anything we can do, as the moms of the dancers, please let us know.

1. My favorite snack food is ever-changing. These days, it's all about the Thin Mints. Although, a couple weeks ago, I made taco dip for dinner.

2. I recently came across a very basic sweet 'n' sour chicken recipe that keeps getting rave reviews. It's way time-consuming, but tasty!

3. I remember grilled cheese & tomato soup a lot as a kid.

4. The latest baking kick we've been on is muffins - specifically banana chocolate chip muffins. Willow loves smashing the bananas.

5. There are a couple of decent fish fries that we enjoy around here. Maple Inn in Ashippun has a good fish fry.

1. Favorite snack food: Probably chocolate, anything chocolate! Katie and I also have what we call a "secret snack" which mostly consists of peanuts, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and raisins, but we don't tell anyone else because it's a secret! : )

2. My family's favorite meal is my baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and corn.

3. Favorite comfort food as a child was probably my mom's homeade macaroni and cheese.

4. We like to bake all kinds of pies and cookies together. Leah makes the most delicious homeade baked pretzels!

5. We love to eat out at Red Lobster. We just went last Friday night and had such a nice time. The food and the wait staff are always so good. They never disappoint us!

Hi Sheila - What a wonderful post! I wish we would have done this much sooner. I'm looking forward to visiting your website too! : )

1. My biggest leap of faith probably has to be becoming a mom. However, I certainly didn't realize it at the time.

2. I hope my kids share my faith, my love of life and my love of children. If they have these, they'll have everything! : )

3. My weekend ritual is first and foremost, my Saturday morning pancakes, and then movies and pizza on Friday or Saturday nights.

4. I would definitely still work, but it would be for charity. I am one of those people who must always be busy working on several different projects at the same time!

5. The best part of the Fairytale Ballet experience has been meeting all of the wonderful little dancers and watching them grow as dancers and come out of their shells - I've also enjoyed meeting the parents and sharing smiles while we watch them dance. It's been a priceless experience for me!

1. What do you and your family like to do for fun?
Take walks, drives, watch movies, go out to eat, and have good conversations.

2. What is a favorite childhood memory you have with your parents?
Hugging my mom and never having to wonder if she was at any of my games or band events. She was. (My dad was out of the picture.)

3. What do you want your kids to remember about you when they grow up? That I was there, and I really loved them and took the time to be with them.

4. What do you like to do when you get a few hours to yourself?
Read or play on the computer sounds great to me, too, but my first reaction was to go to a Barnes and Noble, get some coffee, and read whatever my heart desires!

5. What are your plans for the weekend? Well, I hope I am able to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather by taking a walk. I did get my laundry done, but the rest of the house is still waiting for me!

1. What do you and your family like to do for fun?
Friday night pizza and movies, occasionally bowling, plays, etc.

2. What is a favorite childhood memory you have with your parents?
I don't know if it's a fav, but when we got a little older (junior high age) and were becoming "too cool," my parents used to take us on nature hikes on Sunday afternoons. I remember a LOT of grumbling, but I think they might have had the right idea.

3. What do you want your kids to remember about you when they grow up?
That I took the time to listen and remember what it's like to be a kid.

4. What do you like to do when you get a few hours to yourself?
Read or play on the computer.

5. What are your plans for the weekend?
Laundry. Laundry. Oh, and more laundry.
