1. My favorite snack food is ever-changing. These days, it's all about the Thin Mints. Although, a couple weeks ago, I made taco dip for dinner.

2. I recently came across a very basic sweet 'n' sour chicken recipe that keeps getting rave reviews. It's way time-consuming, but tasty!

3. I remember grilled cheese & tomato soup a lot as a kid.

4. The latest baking kick we've been on is muffins - specifically banana chocolate chip muffins. Willow loves smashing the bananas.

5. There are a couple of decent fish fries that we enjoy around here. Maple Inn in Ashippun has a good fish fry.

1. Favorite snack food: Probably chocolate, anything chocolate! Katie and I also have what we call a "secret snack" which mostly consists of peanuts, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and raisins, but we don't tell anyone else because it's a secret! : )

2. My family's favorite meal is my baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and corn.

3. Favorite comfort food as a child was probably my mom's homeade macaroni and cheese.

4. We like to bake all kinds of pies and cookies together. Leah makes the most delicious homeade baked pretzels!

5. We love to eat out at Red Lobster. We just went last Friday night and had such a nice time. The food and the wait staff are always so good. They never disappoint us!

Do you enjoy reading? Yes, I read constantly when the dishes and laundry aren't calling my name!

What is the first book you remember reading? It's sad, but I honestly don't remember a specific book when I was in elementary school - just yuchy Dick and Jane kinds of things.

Laura Ingalls Wilder is my favorite author. Nobody does it better than her! Katie and I are reading about her courtship with Almanzo right now. How cute were they?! If only it could be now like it was back then...

The Little House books, are, of course, my favorites, but I like so many others too.

Katie and I will read the next Little House book, but I'm also pouring over photography books since I just bought a camera, and I'm also re-reading a book called "40 Over 40 - 40 Things Women Should Know Before Getting Dressed in the Morning." I will be talking about this wonderful book next week. Stay tuned!! : )

1. Do you enjoy reading?
I love to read, but it's hard to find the time these days.

2. What is the first book you remember reading?
"The Cat in the Hat" was the first one I remember learning how to read. The first books that I remember getting lost in for pleasure were the Little House books, starting with "Little House in the Big Woods."

3. Who is your favorite author?
I've gone through a couple of phases (read a lot of Dean Koontz once, then a lot of John Grisham, and a lot of Nora Roberts), but I don't know if I have a favorite go-to author. It's more about what book suits my mood at the time.

4. What is your favorite book? (or one of your favorites?)
Whichever one is in my hands at the moment! (Ok, that's a cheesy answer, but my brain isn't clicking on anything right now.)

5. What is the last book you read and the first you’ll read next?
It's pretty much all light reading right now. Just finished one called "The Last Embrace" about 1940s Hollywood. I've got one called "It's My Island" that's due back at the library this week, so I will crack that next.
